A 65-year-old armless woman in China has been named the best embroiderer in her village. And while this seems like an unimaginable achievement, given her disability, it is not.

Ren Jiemei, of Haiyang, Shandong province, is a modern-day armless wonder who, like many before her, demonstrates skills that are seemingly impossible.

Ren is said to be able to thread a needle without fail and works quicker and better than all her fully limbed peers. She holds the needle with her right foot and threads it with her left.

Donna Simpson became the world’s fattest woman who gave birth to a child in 2007, because she was weighing around five hundred and thirty pounds at the time of her delivery. During her pregnant period, she was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes. However, she decided to gain more weight after her baby. Presently, she eats food worth 580 US dollars in a week. Though the doctors are concerned about her eating habits and her strange desire to become the fattest woman ever in the history, yet she is adamant to achieve her goal.

For most of his life, Tom Every was a professional destroyer. Tom worked in Wisconsin as an industrial wrecker, thrashing old factories, breweries and any other building that stood in the way. But when he retired in 1983, he decided he would dedicate the rest of his life to being a creator: Dr. Evermore, to be exact.

Dr. Evermore is imagined by Every as a Victorian inventor from Eggington, England, with a back story involving a Presbyterian minister father and a traumatizing lightning storm. Dr. Evermore manifests his creativity in the Forevertron, a massive sprawling sculpture park in rural Wisconsin, one that Every or “Dr. Evermore” says will send him “into the heavens on a magnetic lightning force beam.” Every also has put his sculptural skills to use at the nearby wonder the House on the Rock.

Made from industrial scrap, the sculpture park includes a decontamination chamber from NASA’s Apollo project, dynamos built by Thomas Edison and scrap metal salvaged from an Army Ammunition Plant.

Two-and-a-half year old Oscar lost at least one of his nine lives when he was run over by a combine harvester last October — but eight months later he has regained a spring in his step.

The prosthetic paws were fitted by neuro-orthopaedic surgeon Noel Fitzpatrick, in a three-hour operation involving grafting the replacement legs onto the stumps of Oscar’s remaining bones.

BLACK RIVER FALLS (WKOW) — Social services has removed three children from a home in Jackson County where 100 dead cats were found in a nonfunctioning freezer.

Sheriff Duane Waldera says filthy conditions and feces from another 17 live cats caused deputies to determine the house was unlivable.

Gabriella Bernabei says authorities are targeting her and her boyfriend because of their Wiccan religious beliefs. Bernabei says the cats were kept in the garage freezer because she planned to bury them. She says she was properly storing the carcasses until she could get to the burials.

The live cats were taken to the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Animal control officer Barb Pfaff says some were too sick to save.
